The Charlotte Pride VIP Experience offers an exclusive, luxurious way to enjoy the annual Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade. That includes access to an air-conditioned VIP lounge at the Mint Museum, complimentary beer and wine, catered treats and VIP-only entertainment and activities.
“VIP ticket holders will enjoy a completely leveled-up experience from last year’s event,” explains Liz Schob, Charlotte Pride Communications Manager. “We’ve partnered with the Mint Museum for the first time, and it’s sponsored by McDonald’s, something we’re extremely grateful for. Confetti Castle will design the decor, while Ikea is providing the furnishings. Our theme is ‘Studio 704,’ so we’re encouraging everyone to dress up in their best ‘70s fashions.”
Most importantly, the venue offers the opportunity for VIP guests to view the Pride celebration with the outdoor balcony, while also experiencing the comfort of the temperature controlled environment inside The Mint. The VIP lounge operates over two days, with specific hours of service, and adheres to a dress code and conduct guidelines to ensure an appropriate and enjoyable environment.
Highlights of the VIP Experience
Located at the Mint Museum in Uptown Charlotte, the VIP Lounge provides a comfortable, air-conditioned space for attendees to relax and enjoy the festival. The lounge is open on Saturday from 12 PM to 8 PM and on Sunday from 12 PM to 6 PM. Alcohol service ends one hour before closing each day.
VIP pass holders can enjoy performances and meet-and-greets with some of the main stage entertainers. “We will have exclusive entertainment at the VIP site,” says Schob. “This will offer a much more intimate and personalized festival experience.”
In addition to the complimentary beer and wine, VIP guests also get fed! Catering is being handled by Best Impressions, while partnered sponsor McDonald’s will offer a nugget bar.
Special areas are reserved for VIP guests to view the main stage performances and the parade, ensuring a premium viewing experience away from the general crowd.
The VIP experience includes a variety of interactive activities designed to enhance the festival experience. These activities provide additional entertainment and engagement opportunities for the guests. Attendees receive a VIP swag bag, filled with exclusive festival merchandise and other goodies. These bags are subject to availability and are provided while supplies last.
“We have goodies from sponsors and exclusive Pride swag,” Schob offers excitedly. “It’s a fun collection of items to commemorate an important event, in an exclusive Charlotte Pride branded tote bag.”
Ticket Information
VIP pass holders must be 21 years or older. A valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry into the VIP Lounge. No one under 21 is allowed entry, and no refunds are issued for underage ticket purchases.

Special VIP wristbands are issued for entry and re-entry to the VIP Lounge, stage viewing and parade viewing areas. Wristbands are distributed each day of the event.
Venue and Conduct
The Mint Museum provides a sophisticated and comfortable setting for the VIP Lounge, contributing to the premium feel of the experience. Attendees must adhere to a dress code that ensures appropriate attire. Glitter is prohibited, and guests must cover genitals, buttocks and breasts/chests while in the museum.
Charlotte Pride and the Mint Museum have established a code of conduct to ensure a respectful and enjoyable experience for all. This includes guidelines for behavior and alcohol consumption, with the right reserved to remove any individual who violates these rules.
