MINERAL BLUFF, Ga. — The Indiegrrl Women in the Arts festival will be held Oct. 8-10 just over the boarder from Murphy, N.C., at the Jonica Gap Campground, 1412 Haygood Rd.

This non-profit bi-annual musical fest brings in some of the best local, regional and national touring female Indie singer-songwriters, duos and bands along with spoken word artists and comedians.

As of press time the following acts have been booked: Vicki Blankenship & The Posse; Barefoot Movement; HudsonK; Karen Reynolds; Sonya Heller; Rachael Sage; Kathy Rainwater; Pearson Perry; Julie Kay Clark; Diana SkyEyes; and Renee Mixon.

A potluck lunch gathering will be held on Oct. 10 after an inspirational service. Attendees are encouraged to share a song, poem or inspirational story.

Weekend passes are $60 for adults which includes camping for three nights. Ages 6-15 is $30 and children under 5 are free. The site has electricity, water, platforms for tents, shower houses and portable handicap accessible restroom facilities. Anglers will enjoy a fully-stocked trout pond. Early registration is encouraged as space is limited.

Day passes are $15 for those wish to attend but want to choose less rugged accommodations.

Vendors who wish to showcase their products are required to reserve spots for $35.
