Charlotte’s LGBTQ+ scene is changing as Scorpio closes the doors at its original location at 2301 Freedom Dr. North Carolina’s oldest gay bar and nightclub is looking to find a new home after being forced out after a new tenant said it would be taking over the property. The tenant in question: the controversial evangelical mega worship franchise known as Elevation Church.
