CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Business Guild is scheduled to hold their monthly members’ dinner meeting tonight. There, they’ll explore local LGBT history with discussion from local LGBT leaders.
The history presentation is an extension of the group’s monthly social, held last week. The group says 70 people attended, making the social one of its most-attended monthly socials.
At tonight’s meeting the group will explore local LGBT history trivia like: Who was the first Executive Director of the LGBT Community Center? Who was the editor of qnotes from 2003 to 2007? What are two names the LGBT establishment on Rennsaelar has been named? Name the first mayor to speak at a Charlotte Pride Festival? Name the first Charlotte Police Chief to speak at a Charlotte LGBT event?
The meeting is scheduled for this evening, 6 p.m., at the McColl Center for Visual Arts, 721 N. Tryon St. Admission is $18 for members and $20 for non-members, and includes dinner provided by Armin’s Catering.
