GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Replacements, Ltd. Political Action Committee, formed to endorse LGBT-friendly candidates at the local, state and federal levels, has released its endorsements for the city’s Oct. 8 City Council primary election.
The group has endorsed incumbent Greensboro Mayor Robbie Perkins in his Republican primary. On the Democratic side, the group endorsed mayoral candidate Nancy Vaughn.
The group also made several endorsements in Council races. In at-large races, the group endorsed Democrats Yvonne Johnson, Marikay Abuzuaiter and Mike Barber. The group also endorsed Republican Zack Matheny in his District 3 primary and Democrat Nancy Hoffman in her District 4 primary. No endorsements were made in the primary elections for Council’s District 1 or 5 seats. District 2 has no primary.
