Equality NC exceeded their matching challenge fundraising goal at their June 9 PAC Challenge Reception. Congrats! Good money, for a good cause, supporting friendly elected officials like Rep. Susan Fisher (D-Buncombe), pictured with progressive allies Alison Kiser of Planned Parenthood and Ian Palmquist, Equality NC executive director.
Over 100 people attended the 2009 PAC Challenge Reception at RBC Plaza in downtown Raleigh last night. The event was the culmination of this year’s matching challenge to raise $12,500 and we exceeded our goal by $1,875! Thanks to our incredible supporters, Equality NC PAC now has almost $30,000 to support pro-equality candidates in tough races next year.
We couldn’t have done this without our generous challengers and sponsors, all the folks who attended last night, and all the folks who couldn’t attend but made generous donations anyway. We’re so grateful to all of you and we’re proud that more than 150 equality activists across the state stepped up in support of Equality NC PAC’s work.
Supporting pro-equality candidates has clearly made a difference for LGBT North Carolinians. We have more victories every year and more confidence than ever before that we can achieve even more. We get by with a lot of help from our friends and the vision for our future is ever brighter!
Please thank our event challengers and sponsors below for their important leadership on our behalf. Special thanks also to our board member Dan Gurley for hosting us at RBC Plaza.
