ROCKY MOUNT — Parents and Friends of Lesbian and Gays (PFLAG) will hold a pancake fundraiser on Sept. 25 at 8-10 a.m. at Applebees, 1120 North Wesleyan Blvd.
Tickets are $6 and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
The chapter meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Braswell Library, 727 N. Grace St. They also provide a support line which can be reached at 252-443-0345.
Plans are on the docket for a screening of “For the Bible Tells Me So.”
During November, they will have an exhibit at the library and will feature both fiction and non-fiction materials. This is their second year there.
Their annual fund drive is currently being held to help raised monies for local education, advocacy and support for the LGBT community.
