Student calendar tells story

GREENVILLE — The East Carolina University’s Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered Student Union sports an impressive calendar, complete with historical dates for readers to enjoy.

Every day in June is marked as Gay Pride Month.

For instance, on June 27, the script tells of the 1969 police preparation for the raids on the Stonewall Inn. Go to July 1 and read about the 1975 California decriminalization of private, consensual adult gay sex act.

All of this is not complete without the posting of the Union’s monthly activities.

Additionally, on the site is a listing of resources and local support organizations.

The Center’s president is Katy Ross who says she is looking for someone to help her with some website improvement. To reach her, email hullj06@ecu.edu.

Alumni Chair and advisor is Aaron Lucier.
