Thirty youth from 17 different high schools across the area participated in this year’s Charlotte Coalition for Social Justice (CCSJ) Civil Rights Conference.

In an email to supporters, CCSJ highlighted the students’ projects including marching in the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade, organizing a social justice rally and holding “soap box” speeches (remind anyone of Harvey Milk?) on the corner of Trade and Tryon.
