If you’re not yet in the holiday spirit, you better get there quick. LGBT arts groups and community groups are planning to rip open the holiday cheer as soon as this weekend.

One Voice Chorus presents their holiday concert, “Ghosts of Christmas Past,” Dec. 5-6. Three performances are slated: Dec. 5-6, 7:30 p.m.; Dec. 6, 2 p.m. Tickets: $22/advance, $27/door (Matinee: $17). More winter concerts will follow the next weekend. Check out the Gay Men’s Chorus of Charlotte‘s “Sleighbells and Sunscreen” Dec. 12-13, both nights’ performances at 8:04 p.m. at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 1510 E. 7th St., Charlotte. Charlotte Pride Band‘s free winter concert will be held on the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 14, 3-4:30 p.m. at Temple Beth El, 5101 Providence Rd., Charlotte. The concert featuring the band’s small ensembles, including jazz, brass and woodwind groups. The group will also be collecting goods for the Jewish Family Services’ food pantry, including: ketchup, mayonnaise, cookies, dish soap, men’s shaving gram, canned vegetables (excluding corn, green beans or peas), shelf-stable puddings, chips, laundry detergent, peanut butter crackers, coffee, canned chicken, salmon or tuna. Community groups

The Charlotte Business Guild will host their annual meeting and holiday party on Monday, Dec. 8, 6:30 p.m., at Sensibly Chic, 830 Lamar Ave., in Charlotte. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine and entertainment, including special guest Roxy C. Moorecox. Members will have the opportunity to elect new board officers and discuss goals and projects for 2015. Charlotte Black Gay Pride will host a holiday party on Dec. 11 at L4 Lounge, 2906 Central Ave., in Charlotte. The event begins at 10 p.m. and runs through 2 a.m. Admission is $10. charlotteblackgaypride.com.

The sixth annual Twirl To the World holiday party will be held Dec. 13, 9 p.m.-2:30 a.m., Visulite Theatre 1605 Elizabeth Ave., in Charlotte. Admission is $10 with a new, unwrapped toy or $20 without. The party, paid for by hosts and sponsors, donates all of the funds and gifts it receives. Time Out Youth Center will host a holiday-themed fundraiser on Dec. 14, 1 p.m., Hattie’s Tap & Tavern, 2918 The Plaza. The group will be collecting monetary donations and accepting items on the group’s wish list for youth clients.
