Participate in the 2013 QNotes Reader Survey online at qnotescarolinas.com/readersurvey/ for your chance to win $100.

It’s been nearly 10 years since qnotes last performed a large-scale, in-depth reader survey. Starting with this March 29 issue and continuing through April 30, we’re launching our 2013 QNotes Reader Survey. The questionnaire, which you’ll find online at qnotescarolinas.com/readersurvey/, represents your opportunity to provide important feedback on your thoughts and opinions about this newspaper and your experiences, both positive and negative, with our performance.

Among the many questions in the survey are those designed to gauge your interest in and satisfaction with our past, current and future coverage. You have the opportunity to tell us what you love, what you simply tolerate and what you absolutely dislike. You also have the opportunity to help us shape future editorial decisions on what kinds of news, arts, entertainment and other topics we cover in our pages and online.

A minority, alternative news organization like qnotes cannot operate in a vacuum. Indeed, we never have. We depend on the community we serve in order to help us shape our editorial decisions and our future — a future that is reflective of and responsive to the ever-evolving definitions of life as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and straight ally people.

We invite you to participate in our survey. At first, it might seem long, intimidating or daunting, but we promise the questions flow easily. A few of our close friends have already taken a pre-launch, test version of the survey. Each completed the survey in 15-20 minutes or less.

In gratitude for your opinions and feedback, each survey participant who completes the survey and meets all contest criteria will be entered into a giveaway for $100; visit qnotescarolinas.com/readersurvey/ for eligibility requirements.

We thank you, in advance, for sharing your thoughts, opinions, suggestions, constrictive criticism and ideas for the future. We are certain that, together, we can continue to be the news source you’ve always enjoyed and appreciated. : :
