BOONE — Appalachian State University is in its planning stages for its semi-annual Lavender Graduation ceremony.
The event is held in May and December each year. It recognizes the achievements of LGBT and ally graduates within the campus community.

The LGBT Center is determining a date based on graduates’ availability. Refreshments are served.

In addition to campus administrators, faculty, community members, and staff, parents and friends may be invited, if desired by the individual graduate. Those interested in participating should contact the LGBT Center’s graduate assistant Katie Chapman at lgbt@appstate.edu.
