CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The 7th Annual Twirl to the World holiday dance party, “Winter Wonderland,” will be held on Dec. 12, 10 p.m., at NoDa Brewery, 2921 N. Tryon St.

Beneficiaries for 2015 include: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Mecklenburg County affiliate and Healthy Families Mecklenburg.

The LGBT and allied community attendees will lend support to these charities during the holiday season by bring an unwrapped toy or contribute $20 to the dance. Toys will be distributed to children served by Healthy Families. All monies raised from admission sales will be contributed to Parton’s program. NoDa Brewery and Hearts Beat as One Foundation will match contributions dollar-for-dollar,.

Country music star Parton’s initiative centers around families with children birth to five-years-old who would benefit from being equipped with the appropriate development tools and resources needed to promote early literacy.

Healthy Families is a home visitation program designed to provide education on healthy pregnancy, child development, healthy life choices and links to community resources. Services are provided by a nurse or social worker during pregnancy and until the child is two, with the possibility of extending services to age three based on need.

DJ for the evening will be Ben Baker, a high energy vocal house music devotee from New York, N.Y.

Event sponsors are Robert Dogens, Eye Dialogue, Hearts Beat as One, NoDa Brewery, Scruff, Allyson Siegel and Tryon House Distribution.

Contributions can also be made online.
