This weekend, LGBT communities across North Carolina will hold Transgender Day of Remembrance events. Check them out, and be sure to attend.

Charlotte: The Charlotte Gender Alliance hosts their annual Transgender Day of Remembrance gathering and ceremony at the Lesbian & Gay Community Center of Charlotte, 820 Hamilton St., Suite B11. 6 p.m. Free. gaycharlotte.org.

Greensboro: Several community organizations will host a Transgender Day of Remembrance gathering at downtown Greensboro’s Hamburger Square, at the corner of McGee and Elm Sts. 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. Free. Presenting groups include the Human Rights Campaign, TransCarolina, Triad Gender Association, Alternative Resources of the Triad, UNCG and PFLAG.
