NCAAN is a community network that educates policy makers and all people in North Carolina about HIV/AIDS. Its mission is to reduce new infections, promote quality care and treatment services for North Carolina and mobilize North Carolinians to take action.

Goals for 2008 include: Prevention to ensure that legislators reject proposed cuts to HIV prevention programs and treatment to make life-saving medicines available to more low-income North Carolinians by raising the eligibility level for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program to the national standard.

NCAAN programs include an HIV Advocacy Day. This annual program brings providers, consumers and supporters from across the state to the legislature to advocate for our policy goals.
