All photographers, professional and amateur alike, including youth, are invited to compete for a $500 grand prize and other awards by submitting photos that depict the Southern struggle for equality and justice to the Southern Coalition for Social Justice. The deadline for submission is Oct. 15.
The contest will culminate in a photo exhibit entitled “Free Within Ourselves” to be held on Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. at Bull City Forward, 101 W. Main St. in Durham.
