ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Metro Wines, 169 Charlotte St., is contributing 10 percent of every sale to Youth OUTright until the end of October.

The wine shop’s owners, Gina Trippi and John OUTright the opportunity to net 20 percent on purchases.

The wine store is doing this to provide funds to the Western North Carolina LGBT youth organization so that it can continue to have a safe space at which to gather.

Additionally, Ultimate Ice Cream, 1070 Tunnel Rd., has designated Youth OUTright as its beneficiary for its November Flavor of the Month. The shop will feature the handcrafted Youth OUTright’s Flaming Hearts, a blend of spicy cinnamon with Red Hots.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Youth OUTright flavor will be contributed to the organization.
