CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Alliance for Full Acceptance (AFFA) is now accepting applications for its small grants program. Grants are intended to fun programming, organization capacity building and support for LGBT youth and are open to non-profit groups (or those with fiscal sponsors) based in the Carolinas and Georgia.

Grant awards are $500-$4,000 each year. Examples of grant ideas could include assistance with youth travel or registration to conferences or lobby days, supporting campus activities of gay-straight alliances, purchasing books or materials for an LGBT campus resource center or paying for an out-of-town speaker for a campus LGBT event.

For more information or to receive an applications, contact AFFA at or 843-883-0343. Application deadlines are March 15 and Aug. 15.
