PowerHouse was founded by Lisa Wigfall in 2005 under the umbrella of Quality Home Care Inc. to address the issues of AAMSM “African-American Men who have sex with men.” PowerHouse has since expanded and has been funded by the Centers for Disease Control to address the needs of African-American Women. We strive to minimize the impact of the spread of HIV/AIDS through outreach, education, advocacy and support.
