On their website Quality Comprehensive Health Center (QCHC) confirms they’ve been offering healthcare to Charlotte’s underserved community for nearly 20 years.

It seems fitting at such a pertinent moment in time the organization is celebrating a move into a new facility that provides the opportunity to offer expanded health care needs.

Set for Monday, February 26, beginning at 6 p.m. and continuing until 9 p.m., the grand opening party for QCHC’s new location (literally just a few steps from their previous locale) takes place at 3607 Beatties Ford Road.

QCHC program manager L’Monique King is excited about the upcoming event and the new facility.

“This is something the community and our city needs,” King explains. “We’re located in Charlotte’s West side, an area that is populated with a sizable number of individuals that face limited access to healthcare.

“Now, not only will they and other city residents in need have access to quality and expanded care, they’ll be able to experience it in our great new center.”

The celebration kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony and will include light hors d’oeuvres.

Also on the agenda will be a kick-off performance by the drum corps ALLTURNATIVES and an exhibit of works of various artists, including Dyair, Janice L. Jones and Myrna Parker.

Tours of the new facility will be available and the event is open to the public. There is no cover charge.
