Anti-gay protesters are expected to make a showing at the annual NC Pride Festival and Parade in Durham, Saturday, Sept. 24. The event is slated from 10 a.m. into the late afternoon at Duke University’s East Campus.

“Pastor Terry” of Bull City Outreach Ministries said on his blog Friday that he and others would be at the event.

“We can not continue to WELCOME THE DEVIL into our city with his “PARADE OF SIN” and expect our city to change,” the anti-gay leader writes.

Despite his efforts to “outreach,” the message seems not to be resonating. He writes: “How many more years will those that profess to be Christians in the Raleigh-Durham area turn their heads to this sin??? Last year 10 people from out of town had to come in to make a total of 12 Christians that stood that day for JESUS??? How sad it that???”

  1. Well, no big deal. This year, they barely had more than 12. And they were squeezed on one small corner (with no shade in the hot sun) up against a railroad track.
