Greetings Qnotes readers.

In Charlotte, the Holiday Wish Foundation honored some of our most respected and accomplished members in the LGBTQ+ community and Charlotte Pride announced a new location for this year’s upcoming Pride event.

Around the country, the Trans Community continues to fight new attempts at legislated discrimination as they challenge Florida’s ban on healthcare for transgender individuals and the Democratic Party steps in to try and stop Trump’s proposed trans military ban.

In Raleigh, the long time popular night spot Legends has announced their new spot where they will be reopening later this year.

In National News for the LGBTQ+ community, there’s good and bad. First, we’ll get the bad out of the way: Donald Trump continues to roll back policies that protect our community, and former President Joe Biden’s expansion on Title IX protections, which included LGBTQ+ youth and students, was struck down by a district court judge in Kentucky.

Wrapping up on a high note, LGBTQ+ veterans who were previously discharged with anything less than honorable status reached an agreement with the Pentagon that restored their honorable status and all accompanying benefits.

For many in the LGBTQ+ community these days, times seem grim. Remember — despite the challenges we are facing — don’t disallow yourself the right to find happiness. And don’t forget to have some fun in your life. It’ll help you preserve your sanity.

Take Care,
