RALEIGH — Equality North Carolina recently announced exciting changes and growth for their organization.
The organization elected new officers for its two boards. The ENC board of directors is now chaired by Dan Gurley with Elaine Martin serving as vice chair. Other new officers are Kelvin Sanborn (secretary) and Rollin Kibbe (treasurer). The board’s immediate past chair is Hunter Corn.
ENC’s foundation also elected new officers. They include: Rod Goins (chair), Mary Nations (vice chair), Kelvin Sanborn (secretary) and Ken Wittenauer (treasurer). Triad Health Project’s Addison Ore is immediate past chair.
On April 2, ENC also announced the opening of its Greensboro satellite office. The new office will be staffed by Rebecca Mann, director of community organizing and outreach, and is located at The Hive, a “collectively-run, not-for-profit community space located in the historic Glenwood neighborhood” in Greensboro. Furniture for the space was donated by NetCorps.
ENC says the new Greensboro office will better enable the organization to reach out to and serve the Triad community. They’ll be engaging area volunteers, activists and interns.
