The Trevor Project, in partnership with True Colors Fund, the Human Rights Campaign and GLSEN, will host its second annual “State of Out Youth” panel discussion next Monday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m., live from The Scholastic Auditorium.

The discussion features LGBT youth from across the country and highlights some of the most pressing issues facing them today.

Participants who will be in the New York area on the day of the event can attend live. Admission is free. For those not in New York, visit the tickets website to get a free online seat and join the social media conversation using #OutYouthForum.

Afterward, hop over to the post-event Google Hangout at 8:30 p.m. with YouTube personality RJ Aguiar and performance poet Ethan Walker Smith.

For those who want to be part of this in a group setting, host a viewing event. Viewing kits will be sent to make it a fulfilling experience.

Moderator will be Shontay Richardson, former Trevor Youth Advisory Council member.

Lainey Millen was formerly QNotes' associate editor, special assignments writer, N.C. and U.S./World News Notes columnist and production director from 2001-2019 when she retired.
