As we gear up for the upcoming 2025 Municipal Elections, the LGBTQ+ Democrats of Mecklenburg County are excited to announce the results of their 2025 scorecard.
This year they received a record 53 responses from 56 Democratic candidates running for office across Mecklenburg County.
After a thorough review the organization has identified 24 candidates running for office in every city and town in Mecklenburg county.
What makes the candidate viable?
Knowing they will be allies and advocates for our community if elected and that they will stand up to Republican attacks against our community.
Here’s a list of candidates deemed as excellent for the 2025 scorecard. Keep in mind early voting for the Charlotte primary starts August 21; and the primary election is held September 9. Early voting for the general election starts October 16, with the general election to be held November 4.
