There have been so many people that have been a part of the Qnotes family in different capacities during the last 40 years of serving the LGBTQ+ community. Many of these people we see or hear from on a regular basis. They are woven into the fabric of our lives and in our community. There are also a number of people who have passed on and are no longer with us. I feel sure they would be celebrating with us on this milestone anniversary if they were here.
I value and appreciate everyone that’s been a part of the Qnotes family and the contributions they made in order to provide an independent and trusted resource for needed information, views, art and entertainment, specifically for OUR community.
Many thanks to all of you, no matter when you served or for how long. Whether you were in the room in 1986 when we decided to publish Qnotes in a newspaper format or you’re in the trenches with us today, you have been and are part of my inspiration and my strength.
I want to honor all the people that have been a part of the Qnotes family and call out those who have passed away during the last 40 years. Their names and what they did at Qnotes is listed below. Please forgive me if I have left anyone out.
I thank and honor all of you.
Sincerely,
Jim Yarbrough
