RALEIGH — The Crape Myrtle Festival will hold its 30th Annual Gala on July 31 at the Raleigh Convention Center, 500 South Salisbury St., from 7-11 p.m.

Emcee for the evening will be WRAL News Anchor Pam Saulsby. The evening’s program will start at 9 p.m.

“Crape Myrtle 30, Forever Blooming” welcomes guest entertainers Purina Chow, The Crape Myrtle 30 Dancing Queens and the Legends House Cast. Music will be provided by DJ Foxxy (Anthony Edwards) and DJ Joey (Shull).

On display from 7-10 p.m. will be panels from the Names Project Foundation AIDS Memorial Quilt. A silent auction will be featured from 7-10 p.m.

The event supports North Carolina organizations that assist people living with HIV/AIDS and the gay, lesbian and transgender communities through celebration and outreach. It is now the oldest AIDS-related fundraiser in the Southeast.

Other activities leading up to the Gala are the CMF “Forever” Show Tunes on July 25 at Capital Corral (CC), 313 W. Hargett St., from 6-10 p.m. and Movie Night, “The Kids Are All Right,” on July 29 at the Rialto Theatre, 620 Glenwood Ave., with showtimes at 7 and 9:15 p.m.
