The Human Canvass

The LGBT Community Center of Charlotte hosts their newest art exhibit, The Human Canvass, with pieces and photographs contributed by The Center’s art committee, StillOut Photography Club and others.

9/2 – 10/3 // GREENSBORO

An exhibit by The Trinity Collective featuring three artists’ contributions and collaborations. Brian Davis of brianstudio will feature recent works on canvas, Donovan Swick unveils a collection of upholstered items and accent wear, and Kelly Jones of Shadow Oak Maille, features her fashion creations made entirely of Chain Maille. The Studio & Gallery.

Romare Bearden

The Mint Museum Uptown presents an exhibit featuring artwork by Charlotte native and internationally-renowned artist Romare Bearden. The exhibit, Romare Bearden: Southern Recollections, opens on the centennial of Bearden’s birth.

Night Time is the Right Time

The Light Factory presents the third exhibit in its ongoing series, “In Our Own Backyard,” celebrating artists who live in or have a connection to the Charlotte area. Exhibit will feature photographers Mitchell Kearney and Jim Herrington.

10/3 – 1/22 // CHARLOTTE

The Light Factory presents “Streetwise: Masters of 60’s Photography. Featuring contributions from photographers Diane Arbus, Lee Friedlander, Jerry Berndt, Ruth-Marion Baruch, Garry Winogram, Bruce Davidson, Danny Lyon and Ernest Withers.
