Expo Readiness Workshop: February 11 , 2025

Join Mecklenburg County for a FREE, hands-on Expo Rediness Workshop at VCW in Charlotte on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Workshop attendees will be introduced to the construction, maintenance and facility management, and advanced manufacturing industries, as well as local jobs in those industries. The workshop will prepare job seekers for the Career Expo on Feb. 25, 2025, at the Harris Conference Center at Central Piedmont Community College’s Harris Campus.

Additionally, workshop attendees will learn about:

Resume building.
Soft skills, including skills in interviewing, communication, teamwork, problem solving, time management and work ethic.
Guidance for justice-involved individuals.
Wraparound services in the Mecklenburg County area that can help job seekers find employment.

Registration is required for this free training. Spanish-speaking coordinators will be available to assist workshop attendees as needed. Parking will be available and refreshments will be provided.
