Boisterous and melancholic, “The Passionate Symphony” has long stirred intrigue over its interpretation. Guest conductor Kensho Watanabe leads Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, “Pathetique,” and pianist Sara Davis Buechner joins the CSO to perform Schumann’s Piano Concerto.
