
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Brett Webb-Mitchell, a professor at North Carolina Central University and a columnist for qnotes who writes our regular “On Being a Gay Parent” column, has won national online honor for his writing.
Mitchell’s blog, where he also posts the columns that appear in this newspaper, received more than 700 votes in the “Beacons of Equality: Best Gay Advocacy Blog” awards. The honor comes with eight free hours of internet marketing consultation.
Mitchell began writing for qnotes in 2009. His column appears in every-other issue. The newspaper is published every-other week. Mitchell is the author of the book, “On Being a Gay Parent: Making a Future Together.”
