A newly released documentary from the YouTube channel “The Young Turks” is drawing attention to allegations involving the late U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and raising questions about the contrast between a politician’s public positions and alleged private conduct.
Titled “The CLOSETocracy,” the approximately 30-minute film was released October 22, 2026, and features three men who allege they were paid for sexual encounters with Graham. Produced in association with Swamp Watch Studios, the documentary is available on The Young Turks’ YouTube channel.
The men describe alleged encounters that occurred across a span of several years. One participant, identified as Kelvin, alleges he was 17 during an encounter in Arizona in 2001. Another, Cory Burns, an adult performer also known professionally as Sean Harding, describes an alleged encounter at Washington’s Mayflower Hotel in 2015. A third participant, identified as Jesse, recounts alleged encounters in Washington, D.C.
The film places the allegations against the backdrop of Graham’s political record and his opposition to LGBTQ+ rights. During his Senate career, Graham opposed the Equality Act and the Respect for Marriage Act, among other measures supported by LGBTQ+ advocates.
The documentary’s release followed a public announcement by Young Turks founder Cenk Uygur, who sought to distinguish the film’s focus from speculation about a politician’s sexuality. According to a post quoted by The Advocate, Uygur said the issue involved a “serious national security issue.”
The film’s provocative title and allegations have reignited discussion about political accountability, privacy and the treatment of LGBTQ+ people by public officials.
For viewers, “The CLOSETocracy” offers a controversial account that invites scrutiny and an opportunity to examine the allegations. Are they factual? These series of brief interviews and the intertwining narrative leave the viewer with more questions than answers, but it’s definitely worth your time to explore the comments that come from this collection of alleged first hand accounts.
