Writer Wendy Lyons (she/her) is also a dedicated leader and advocate for diverse populations, including the LGBTQ+ community. A Philadelphia native, she has resided in North Carolina for over 20 years, actively participating in community service and utilizing her grant management skills to support local nonprofits. A current fellow with Kuumba Academy Charlotte, she is a graduate of Strayer University and Lincoln University, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the mother of two adult sons. A health and wellness enthusiast, she enjoys fitness, dance, and travel.
