RICHMOND, Va. — Researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University are conducting a study on the health of LGBTQ individuals.
Those who are identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer are invited to participate.
A $15 Amazon gift certificate will be given to those who complete a 45-minute survey.

Attitudes, experiences survey seeks participants
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Dawn M. Szymanski, Ph.D., Ayse S, Ikizler, M.A., and Trevor Dunn, M.A., sexual minority research team members from the University of Tennessee’s Department of Psychology, are conducting an empirical study examining the attitudes and experiences of lesbian and bisexual women (LBW).
The online survey will ask questions about attitudes and experiences one may have had as a woman and as a sexual minority person, ways one copes with life’s challenges, psychosocial, relational, and physical well-being and demographics.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be women who are at least 18 years old, have experienced some degree of same-sex attraction and currently reside in the U.S. The survey is anonymous and takes about 30-40 minutes to complete.
As an incentive to participate, all participants will be given the chance to enter a raffle awarding $100 Amazon.com gift certificates to three randomly selected persons.

Researcher wants same-sex couples
LOMA LINDA, Calif. — Naomi J. Schwenke, M.A., LAMFT, a doctoral candidate at Loma Linda University in family studies is undergoing her dissertation research on the investigation of individual and relational well-being of same-sex couples who are legally married, in a civil union or registered as domestic partners.
Participants must be 18-65; in relationship for more than five years; identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender; have either a legal marriage, civil union or domestic partnership certificate; and are currently in a relationship with the partner with whom one entered the legal marriage, civil union or domestic partnership.
Participants will choose between three charities that the researcher will make a donation to on behalf of participants. The charity receiving the most votes from participants in this study will receive the donation. Instructions for choosing a charity are included at the end of the survey. No personal information other than an email address is needed to participate.
Participation is completely voluntary and anonymous.
