A new study has revealed that North Carolina is the fifth kinkiest US state, and fleshlights are the most searched-for sex toy in America.
Sex toy review platform Bedbible.com analyzed the number of searches for various popular sex toys and accessories, including ‘fleshlight’ and ‘anal beads’, exploring how much each state has Googled these terms over the past 12 months. The search volumes were combined to determine the ranking of the kinkiest states in America.
Georgia is top of the list as the kinkiest state in America, with an average monthly search volume of 521 per 100,000 residents. The sex toy Georgians search for the most is “rose toy” with an average total of 14,293 monthly searches.
The runner-up for the kinkiest state is Nevada, appearing in second place. Per 100,000 people, there are 509 monthly searches for sex toys and accessories, including “vibrating panties” and “anal beads.” Nevada’s favorite sex toy is “fleshlight,” with 4,294 average monthly searches in total.
New York places third, following very closely behind Nevada, with 508 searches per 100,000 people per month. The most popular sex toy New Yorkers are searching for is “fleshlight” with 24,280 average searches a month and “rose toy” with a monthly search volume of 20,899.
Texas ranks fourth, with 498 monthly searches per 100,000 citizens. Texans are also in second place for average monthly searches of “fleshlight” at 37,457, as well as accumulating 31,802 searches for “rose toy,” and 23,034 searches for “butt plug.”
North Carolina and Colorado share fifth place, with both states seeing 494 searches per 100,000 residents. A popular search term in North Carolina is “lube,” seeing 2,885 average searches a month in total, while Colorado searches for “anal beads” 1,427 times a month on average.
South Dakota is the least kinky state in America, with only 322 monthly searches per 100,000 residents.
Americans are searching for ‘fleshlight’ the most compared to other sex toys and accessories. In fact, 44 states search for ‘fleshlight’ the most out of all analyzed terms, and ‘rose toy’ is the most popular in only six states. Americans search for ‘fleshlight’ an impressive 395,791 times a month and ‘rose toy’ 304,307 times a month.
