Hello, everyone, and Happy Tuesday! My name is Taylor, and I’m here with the latest business centric headlines from the last week.
This week, we follow the story of a Pineville business owner who sent a request to her local government to have LGBTQ+ Pride flags put on display across downtown. Owner of Carolina Scoops Ice Cream Shop Sara Longstreet said she sent an email to Town Manager Ryan Spitzer and Mayor David Phillips, but Phillips responded, sharing he felt allowing Pride flags to be flown would “open the door” to others asking the town to fly other flags throughout the year.
