OUTlook is a Weekly Newsletter about LGBTQ+ business, labor, workplace equality and all things related from Qnotes.

In this latest edition L’Monique King talks with Gina Stewart, the director of all things cool at VisArt Video, a non-profit repository for one of the largest collections of film on the east coast. But that’s not all VisArt does! Stewart encourages artists of all genres to visit the space and enjoy the artistic camaraderie, as well as the 100-seat space for stage and screen presentations.

There’s a host of educational and entertaining events coming up in March that will continue well into spring. On March 30, celebrate Trans Day of Visibility a day early with the Charlotte LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce presentation ‘Kaleidoscope.’ The event is a free resource market for the Charlotte region’s trans community, with free gender-affirming haircuts, vendors for clothes & accessories, free access to STI testing & vaccines, food and housing resources, insurance information, access to a notary and financial planning support services.

Included in our triptec of creative arts throughout the state, we’re sharing an exciting calendar of art galleries and museums (some currently ongoing and others upcoming) offering a variety of presentations, some queer-centric, others of LGBTQ+ interest and others just interesting and unusual. Don’t miss out on your guide to supporting the arts in our community.
