The latest edition of Qnotes is our inFocus Triangle edition, where we look at what’s happening in the queer communities of Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and their surrounding towns. Over in Durham (also known around here as Bull City), a new LGBTQ+ nightclub and bar has opened its doors.
Club ERA is the brainchild of Triangle-based drag queen Naomi Dix, She recently took to Instagram to say why she felt compelled to create her own club and bar.
“As a young queer person, I always wanted a place where I could explore who I was,” Dix wrote in a recent Instagram post, “but spaces often lacked representation and diversity and made it difficult to find my community.”
