OUTlook is a Weekly Newsletter about LGBTQ+ business, labor, workplace equality and all things related from Qnotes.
In this latest edition we’re going to revel a bit in the downfall of North Carolina’s mouthiest anti-LGBTQ+ lieutenant governor ever: Mark Robinson. There’s no doubt in my mind he was driving vacationers and business investors away from our state in droves. In the end, it was clearly a mix of scandal, self-loathing and hate speech that put an end to his attempt at a larger political career. In recent news from Robinson, we learn that he has dropped his lawsuit against CNN. Read our story for more details.
In other reports from the increasingly strange world of politics, Donald Trump announced February 6 during the National Prayer Breakfast that he will be launching a “Presidential Commission on Religious Liberty” and appointing Florida televangelist Paula White to lead the “White House Office of Faith.”
Ending on an up note, we’re excited to announce Quality Comprehensive Health Center’s Powerhouse has relocated and reopened with a celebration this past Friday, February 7. Join us as we talk with staff and learn about new developments.
