Rainbow Foster Network Monthly Meeting

When it comes to LGBTQ+ youth, there’s so much to think about, from helping them find support and resources, to defending them from those who would deny their rights or who use them as political pawns.

The needs for those youth who are in foster care (or kinship care) are amplified. We’ve seen, in real time, how some of these kids have been rejected but their families, abused by those who stepped in to care for them, or shuffled from location to location in an effort to keep them safe and cared for. These needs are real. For some time, we have tried to help on a case-by-case basis.

It’s time to restart our community efforts to raise awareness, recruit foster families, provide support to existing foster families, and the LGBTQ+ youth who need the help and support.

This meeting is for those who want to be a part of RFN to help create programs and support.
