CHARLOTTE — The manager of the Coalition to Protect NC Families, a statewide campaign formed to oppose an impending anti-LGBT state constitutional amendment, will speak at the LGBT Community Center of Charlotte on Monday evening.

Kennedy

Jeremy Kennedy was hired as the campaign manager for the Coalition to Protect NC Families last month. A coalition of groups, including statewide LGBT education and advocacy group Equality North Carolina, formed Kennedy’s committee. It’s one of several committees formed in recent weeks to either oppose or support the amendment.

Kennedy will discuss the amendment, the campaign against it and provide some insight into their plans.

He’ll also be sticking around the city for a few days, meeting with local political and civic leaders.

The public meeting with Kennedy is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the LGBT Community Center of Charlotte, 820 Hamilton St., Suite B11. For more information or directions, visit gaycharlotte.com.
