Making Your Theatre More Inclusive for Transgender and Non-Binary People
Queen City Comedy is coordinating diversity, equity, and inclusion workshops led by expert facilitators for the benefit of local arts organizations. The local comedy organization has partnered with Blumenthal Performing Arts and the Metrolina Theatre Association to bring this training series to local arts organizations to create inclusive spaces for people who are neurodiverse, chronically ill, disabled, transgender, and/or non-binary.
Transgender and Non-binary People is led by Stephen Davidson.
All courses are virtual, instructor-led, and conducted over Zoom. All courses are available to everyone, but the content for some of the courses is focused on arts organization leaders: Theatre leaders, management teams, board members, directors, coaches, and instructors who have a direct influence on the policies and practices in an organization.
100% of the proceeds go to the facilitators. The organizations partnering in this offering are committed to ensuring the training is available to as many arts organizations and performers as possible.
